“The association art is the strongest base of civil society” – Alexis de Tocqueville- French philosopher and politician of the 19th century
Democracy is the most difficult form of ruling. It requires conscious involvement of both citizens and their nominated representatives- the governors.
Only when the governors allow the citizens to take their own decisions, not seizing the entire knowledge for themselves and the citizens are able to participate actively in nation creating processes, the democracy works as a system.
From the very beginning, the Agere Aude foundation deals with promotion and advertisement of civil society values among young Poles. The above-mentioned values are: honesty, truth, tolerance, impartiality and responsibility for words and deeds.
We try to teach a critical reality interpretation especially the virtual one as well as the cognitive distance to some information. We therefore encourage to associate in action what leads to achieving the common goals and builds more civil oriented society, which understands its values and resists the populist narration of politics and the media manipulation.
