Izabela Michta

sociologist, leader of the Polish self-help movement for people who stutter (PWS); she coordinates the University of Silesia self-help group for people who stutter and/or clutter and the Virtual Stuttering Club. As part of various projects she disseminates knowledge about fluency disorders on both the local and national level. She is actively involved in the organization of various logopedic projects, among others the University of Silesia project:  “Changing attitudes towards stuttering” (workshops for teachers and students of Silesian schools and kindergartens). Since 2018, as a volunteer, she has been co-organizing workshop meetings for children who stutter and their parents at the University of Silesia.  She has co-organised the celebration of ISAD – International Stuttering Awareness Day in Silesia for several years.
